Before arriving at Middlesex in 2015, Katie taught mathematics and Latin at McDonogh School, where she also coached field hockey, basketball, track, and lacrosse. An accomplished athlete in her own right, she captained the field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse teams as a senior at Brooks School – and was named All-League and an Academic All-American in field hockey and lacrosse that same year. While majoring in economics and classical archeology at Bowdoin College, Katie contributed to two NCAA National Field Hockey Championships and was named a Collegiate All-American twice in the sport, and once in lacrosse, and was a senior field hockey co-captain. She has continued to coach young players through the Baltimore Stix Field Hockey Club and Laxachusetts Club Lacrosse.Â
