Middlesex Girls' Crew is a Fours program that began in 1975. Since its inception Middlesex, has won many championships, had several appearances at Nationals and, in the summers of 2003 and 2007, made an appearance at the Henley Women's Regatta, coming in second place in the youth 4+ event in 2007. In 2006, Middlesex won the New England Championship and placed 5th at U.S. Junior Nationals. Several Middlesex rowers and coxswains have represented the United States on Junior National Teams and many continue to row and cox at the collegiate level.

In the last decade, there has been a huge influx of new rowers and coxswains. In the past few seasons, the girls have been boating ten fours each day under the direction of knowledgeable and dedicated coaches. In 2011, we celebrated our inaugural season in the new Paumgaurten Boathouse on a beautiful stretch of the Concord River, just ten minutes from campus. We also enjoy the benefits of a boathouse right on campus for our novice program and for sculling instruction. With quality coaching at all levels, the program strives for success. This success is measured not only in wins and losses, but also in introducing young girls to a wonderful sport that teaches them to push beyond their limits and allows them to learn a sport they can continue for a lifetime.

The future is bright for the Middlesex girls' crew teams. With many talented and dedicated athletes participating, the program continues to grow and succeed. If you would like more information about girls crew at Middlesex, please contact Head Coach Laura Darby McNally '80 at ldarby@mxschool.edu .
