OFFICIAL ATHLETICS WEBSITE OF MIDDLESEX SCHOOL

The Girls’ Tennis Program has a strong and successful tradition at Middlesex. We compete in the Independent School League, which is one of the most competitive private school leagues in the country. In recent years, we have boasted a position as one of the top teams in that league, and past players have gone on to play at both the Division I and Division III college levels. The team consists of talented girls ranging from experienced tournament players to strong athletes who started playing the game more recently.  Our tennis players are determined, tenacious, and gritty as individual players but all hold sportsmanship and teamwork in the highest regard.

Middlesex has invested a great deal in our tennis facilities in the past decade, which are now some of the best in the league. We have eight beautiful outdoor tennis courts next to the Estabrook woods and the school garden as well as four indoor courts on our hockey rink.

Tennis is a lifelong sport, and it is important to me that girls who participate in the Middlesex Tennis Program will develop the technical strokes and match playing strategies they need to continue playing beyond their years at Middlesex and that their experience here will form a foundation for friendships and competitive play for the rest of their lives.
