It took some time for Middlesex to adjust to an athletic and experienced Thayer team, but the Zebras finished strong with a 2-1 game in the second half. Ninth grader Lucy McGaraghan picked up a team high 4 contested ground balls and her first career draw control. Senior Katie Athanasoulas had several late game caused turnovers and simply refused to stop fighting. Three ninth graders: Addie Curry, Ellie Bracken, and Ryan Pinney scored for the Zebras. While the score was quite lopsided, there is tremendous work being done by this team who continues to face adversity yet has stayed poised and positive, and most importantly, this is a team that sticks together.
