On a chilly and windy day, Middlesex traveled to St. George's for their final regular season game. Middlesex had strong passing and worked together well as a unit but their steps to the ball and first touch were slightly off which allowed St. George's to create some scoring opportunities. Luckily, goalie Anna Rusconi came up big in the first half making some beautiful stops. Avery Swenson found the back of the cage in the second quarter after showcasing her nifty stick work and she again scored in the 3rd quarter. St. George's did not back down and found the back of the cage with 26 seconds left in the game. The game ended 2-1 and with the win, the Zebras can celebrate an undefeated ISL league championship. They eagerly await their opponent for next Wednesday in the NEPSAC Class B quarterfinals.
