Middlesex was excited to host Nobles on the Friday night of Family Weekend as they knew it would be a competitive match up between two top teams in the ISL. Middlesex started strong by showcasing their strong passing game but Nobles did a nice job disrupting any true momentum for the Zebras. The defensive line did a nice job slowing down the fast forwards on the Nobles team by not allowing many shots in the first half. The Zebras found the back of the net in the 3rd quarter but Nobles responded with a goal of their own with six minutes left in the game. The game headed to overtime, which was very back-and-forth and chaotic. Ali Marsters scored a scrappy goal in the circle with 2 minutes left in overtime, sealing the victory for the Zebras. It was not the prettiest game for either team but the Zebras found a way to get the job done. After a restful weekend, the team is eager to host Rivers, another powerful ISL team.Â
