On Wednesday, the Zebras were excited to host the governor's academy in a match-up from the 2022 NEPSAC Class B Championship. From the first whistle, the Zebras were hard to stop with their sharp passes and speed up the field. Senior Sophie Watson found the back of the cage 5 minutes into the game and sophomore Avery Swenson scored another 2 minutes later. This put Govs on their heels and allowed the Zebras to build even more momentum. The Zebras found the back of the cage two more times before the end of the half. In the second half every member of the team was able to showcase their individual growth this season and as a team, the players implemented various skills and concepts they have been working hard on in practice. It was a total team effort and the team is proud of the final score of 6-1. And yet the work is not done as they will face Groton, another tough ISL opponent, on Friday afternoon.
