The Zebras were excited to host a powerful and athletic Milton team on an overcast Saturday afternoon. Even though Middlesex controlled the game from the opening minutes, Milton took advantage of a defensive breakdown and found the back of the cage in the first quarter. However, the Zebras did not let that get them down, and fought back hard. Molly Nye '24 took the game into her own hands and scored the first Middlesex goal quickly in the 2nd quarter with nifty stick work, dribbling through numerous Milton defenders. Less than three minutes later, Esme Coes '24 found the back of the cage on a lightning fast drive giving the Zebras a lead as they entered half time. A highlight of the game was when Siena Berardinelli '24 scored on a lift over the Milton goalie, a skill she had been working hard on all week. It was a complete game for Middlesex and all players showcased their determination and grit. The Zebras are on the road against Lawrence Academy on Wednesday.Â
