On a picture-perfect fall afternoon, the Middlesex Zebras hosted the St. Mark's Lions for their home opener. It took the Zebras the first ten minutes to find their passing game and adjust to the Lion's hard steps but Siena Berardinelli '24 was able to find the back of the net at the end of the first quarter. Three more goals were scored in the 2nd quarter including a goal by Lily McTeague '26, which was her first Middlesex career goal. While the Zebras did not score in the 2nd half they controlled much of the field, with Emma Poplyk '23 dominating in the midfield. The Zebras have another road game next Wednesday as they face ISL powerhouse, Tabor Academy.Â
