Middlesex traveled to Thayer on Friday evening and battled to another one-goal game. Unfortunately, this time Middlesex came up on the short end of the 4-3 final score but a lot of good hockey was played. The first period started with Middlesex controlling the puck and the pace of play but it was Thayer who found the back of the net first. In the final three and a half minutes of the period, Thayer opened the scoring. Ten seconds later, Thayer snuck in a quick, second goal making the score 2-0. Middlesex answered back and within the first two minutes of the new period, Ava Romano '22 put Middlesex on the board with a goal, assisted by Ellie Calo '25. Middlesex's Charlotte Hinckley '23 tied the game at 2-2 a few minutes later on a pass from Caroline Cervini '23.  Thayer responded with a goal of their own halfway through the second to give the Tigers the lead heading into the final period. 

Middlesex came out fired up for the third period and in less than a minute, Cervini '23 assisted Romano '23  to bring the score to back even. However, within half a minute, Thayer responded with what would be the final goal of the game. Both teams fought hard and had chances right to the final whistle.
