Girls' Varsity Hockey earned their first win of the season against Governor's after trailing 2-0. Late in the second period, Ava Romano '22 made a great heads up play on the forecheck that caused a Govs defender to lose control of the puck in front of the net. Finley Crosby '25 picked up the loose puck and fired a shot past the Govs goalie to bring the score to 2-1 at the end of the second period. A few shifts into the third period, Romano found the back of the net on rebound that came from an Ella McTeague '23 shot from the blue line. The Zebras stole the momentum after tying the game and went on to score two more goals. Finley Crosby scored a highlight reel goal when she shot bar down on an assist from Brooke Nye '22. A couple minutes later, Caroline Cervini '23 redirected a shot from McTeague to give Middlesex a 4-2 lead. Goaltender Kat Garabedian '24 made 31 saves to help the Zebras secure the win.
