It was a warm September day and the Middlesex Field Hockey team was eager to take their home field against the New Hampton Huskies. In the first 10 minutes, the game was back and forth and the Middlesex defense, led by Holly Levasseur and Regan Fitzgerald, were forced to make some big defensive stops against New Hampton's fast forwards. However, by the end of the first quarter, the Zebras began to find their groove, using their space effectively and creating many creative passing combinations. These passing combinations were highlighted in the first goal of the game where Molly Nye distributed to Abby Pratt, who passed to a waiting Siena Bernadinelli, who was waiting on the Huskies door step. From there, Middlesex maintained the momentum, and three more goals, scored and assisted by six different players rounded out a full team performance by the Zebras. The team is excited to host a powerful class A opponent, Exeter Academy, next Wednesday.Â
