On another picture perfect fall day, the Middlesex Zebras traveled down the road to play class B opponent, Lawrence Academy. The Zebras controlled the play in the first quarter, however, they couldn't fully complete many passing sequences and did not create many dangerous scoring opportunities. At the quarter break, the players regrouped with a plan to keep it simple and put the ball in the cage. This paid off, as sophomore, Molly Nye put in the rebound off a hard shot from sister and senior, Brooke Nye. This gave the Zebras the confidence and fire they needed for the remaining time in the game. Three additional players scored, assisted by 3 different teammates. The final goal was one for ESPN highlights as senior, Ava Romano tipped a high ball into the upper right corner of the cage off of a chip shot from fellow senior, Ellie Barton. Great way to end a battle between two athletic teams. The Zebras look to regroup and sharpen up for their match against Brooks on Saturday.
