It was another beautiful day up at Landry turf as the Middlesex Zebras took on the Milton Mustangs. The game was a back and forth battle in the first quarter as both teams brought the ball up the field effectively but could not convert inside the circle. Milton did an exceptional job fouling outside of the defensive circle, not allowing Middlesex to create many scoring opportunities or upgrade to offensive corners. However, senior Abby Pratt found the back of the cage off of a goalie rebound with 5 minutes remaining in the half. Half-time allowed for the Zebras to refocus and they came out firing on all cylinders and scored only 3 minutes into the 2nd half. The offensive output by the Zebras was impressive, scoring 4 goals and taking 28 shots, but the defensive unit, led by senior, Holly Levaseeur and junior, Ella McTeague, stifled any opportunities for the Mustangs. The team is excited to travel to Lawerence Academy on Wednesday for another close ISL battle!Â
