On a beautiful fall day the Middlesex Zebras traveled to play a talented and athletic Nobles squad. From the first whistle, both teams showcased their athleticism, speed and determination. However, Middlesex controlled the ball for most of the first half, creating many scoring opportunities and stifling any of Nobles' offensive rushes. Sophomore Avery Taylor found the back of the cage on a scrum from a corner shot with 7 minutes remaining in the game. The remaining minutes of the game were tense but junior goalie, Dani Lawton, had a few amazing diving saves that kept the Zebras in the game. The Zebras have not beaten Nobles since the fall of 2012 and the team should be proud of their unity, focus, and heart after a challenging week. The team looks forward to Wednesday when they play the 2019 Class-B champs, Rivers.
