With the anticipation of Fall Long Weekend, the Middlesex Zebras traveled down the road to battle the Groton Zebras. It took a bit for Middlesex to wake-up and Groton capitalized 5 minutes into the game. That was the jolt the Middlesex Zebras needed, as from that point on they controlled the game, stifling any Groton offensive attacks and creating many offensive corners. Senior Holly Levasseur had some impressive defensive stops with her hard steps to the ball and sophomore, Avery Taylor had a stellar game, scoring off of two rebounds. The game ended 5-2 for the Middlesex Zebras and the players happily began their Fall Long Weekend with another important ISL win under their belts. The team hopes to sharpen up to play Class-A powerhouse, Andover, next Wednesday at home.
