Girls' Varsity Hockey returned to home ice Wednesday evening to host ISL rival Groton School. Junior forward Izzy Allieri scored a hatrick as MX went on to win 6-1. Middlesex opened the scoring early in the first period as sophomore Ellie Barton netted her first goal of the season top left corner off assists from Meagan Anstey '21 and Ava Romano '22. On a defensive miscommunication by MX, Groton's Quinlan tied the game. But MX was quick to respond as Romano scored unassisted and Allieri netted her first of the game to end the first up 3-1. It was all Middlesex from there as Allieri fed senior captain Ali Joseph with a beautiful pass to go up 4-1, and then Joseph returned the favor as she dished it to Allieri for a 5-1 lead. Allieri scored the final goal of the game in the third period off an assist from senior captain Kiley Briand. 

The Zebras return to home ice on Friday when they host non-conference Hebron Academy at 5:30PM.
