The Middlesex Girls' Varsity Hockey team traveled to Lawrence Academy Wednesday afternoon for an ISL showdown. In the first period, both teams tested the waters, peppering the goalies with shots but the score stayed 0-0. In the second, Lawrence scored on a defensive breakdown to take a 1-0 lead, the eventual game winner. MX had several chances, including three power plays but were unable to convert as the LA goalie made some remarkable saves late in the third. The Zebras penalty kill unit held off three LA power plays, including one in the final three minutes of the game. The Zebras host Brooks on Friday evening at 5:30 PM.
