Middlesex traveled to a play a skilled Lawrence Academy team on Wednesday, April 24. In the 1st quarter, Middlesex and Lawrence traded a goals and ended the firsts quarter up 3-2. In the 2nd quarter, Lawrence tied the score at 3, but Middlesex went on to score two in a row to end the half up 5-3. In the 3rd quarter, the Zebras pushed ahead to a 10-6 lead before Lawrence scored to make it 10-7. In the 4th quarter, Middlesex scored first to make it 11-7 before Lawrence scored twice to pull within two with a few minutes to go. Middlesex then scored the final goal of the game with 25 seconds left and won 12-9. Individually, the standout players for Middlesex were Cole Nye (3 goals), Will McCarthy (3 goals), Zack Goorno, (1 goal, 2 assists), Casey Gillis (1 goal, 2 assists) and Harry Friedman (won 58% of the faceoffs).
