The Middlesex Girls' Varsity Hockey team earned a decisive win over a tough Hebron team on Friday night. Middlesex was the first to get on the board when Izzy Allieri tipped Nicollette Roark's blast from the point. Middlesex came out flying in the second period and notched two more goals on the first few minutes of the period when Ali Joseph knocked in a rebound after Allieri's shot and then Joseph scored again on assists from Allieri and Briand. Hebron battled back and scored two goals to keep the game competitive, but before the end of the second period Roark notched another goal for Middlesex when she sniped the top corner on an assist from Briand, making the score 4-2. In the third period, Middlesex came out firing again and Alana Burm scored two quick goals on back to back shifts. Hebron fought back and put another puck in the net, but Middlesex killed Hebron's momentum when Lola Davis scored on a wrist shot from the high slot assisted by Malloy Clifford and Burm. Briand finished out the scoring with her own goal assisted by Joseph. The offensive drive was thrilling to watch, and the high energy in the rink was palpable.
