Middlesex Girls' Varsity Hockey hosted Kents Hill Friday evening in the Zebras 2019-2020 home opener. In front of a packed crowd, Middlesex opened the scoring less than a minute into the game as junior Maddie Murphy took a slapshot from the point and beat the visiting goalkeeper high right side. Kents Hill scored the equalizer late in the first period on a defensive breakdown by the Zebras but the hosts were able to find the back of the net with one minute to play in the first as sophomore Ava Romano score her first career goal assisted by Malloy Clifford to regain the lead. The second period, played almost entirely on special teams, saw three more goals for Middlesex as Kiley Briand '20, Ali Joseph '20, and Danielle Lawton '22 each found the back of the net for a 5-1 lead. The third was back and forth for both teams but remained scoreless. 

Next up, Middlesex hosts two more home games with Proctor on Wednesday, 12/11 and Rivers on Friday, 12/13.
