From the first whistle on Wednesday, the Varsity Field Hockey team had a tough time finding their groove against a gritty BB&N squad. The Zebras were caught off-guard by the speed of BBN's offensive line and low block-tackles of their defensive line. BB&N found the back of the cage off of a scrum in front of the net with 15 minutes into the game. The scored stay 1-0 until half. Unfortunately, the Zebras couldn't bounce back in the second half and allowed another goal on a break-away 10 minutes in. It wasn't until the last 10 minutes of the game when Middlesex found their fire, creating many scoring opportunities. While first year, Sage Piekarski scored on a scrum, it wasn't enough for the Zebras to come out on top. The Zebras are excited to play St. George's on senior day to honor and celebrate four amazing seniors who have dedicated four years to the field hockey program.
