The turf field was buzzing with energy on a brisk Middlesex/St. George's weekend. The Zebras came out on fire setting the tone from the first whistle. The Zebra's midfield line led by Brooke Nye, Abby Pratt and Emma Poplyk set the tone by setting up odd-man rushes for the Middlesex forwards. Off of a corner play 20 mins into the game, Middlesex found the back of the cage putting the score at 1-0. Unfortunately, the Zebras had a 30 second lapse and the Dragons were able to capitalize with a goal of their own, leading to a draw at half time. But in the second half, the Zebras were unstoppable. The girls popped in two beautiful goals, the first by freshman, Sage Piekarski, assistant by sophomore, Ellie Barton and the second by senior, Syd MacKeigan assisted by Sage Pierkarski. The Zebras outshot their opponents 15-0 in the second half. It was a great way to end an amazing season and an awesome way to thank and celebrate the dedication of our four seniors, Dahlia Galante, Anna Simmons, Sydney MacKeigan and Riley Galizio
