On a bright and sunny fall day, Middlesex traveled down the road to powerhouse, Rivers School, on their brand new turf. Rivers was fast and strong and the Zebras were totally caught off guard, with Rivers scoring three goals within the first ten minutes. However, the Zebras began to settle-in and adjusted nicely to Rivers fast breaks due to the hard steps and low sticks of senior, Riley Galizio, and sophomore, Holly Levasseur. The Zebras gave up few shots in the second half and in fact, created many scoring opportunities for themselves. First year, Sage Piekarski, was able to slip past the Rivers back line and create some breakaway opportunities, but the Rivers goalie is hard to get around. Unfortunately, the game ended 3-0 but the Zebras were proud of their performance in the second half. They look forward to being back on their own turf against Thayer on Saturday.
