The Middlesex Girls' Varsity Hockey team lost in a back and forth game to a strong St. Mark's team this past Wednesday. Middlesex got on the board in the first shift of the game when Kiley Briand blast the puck in the back of the net off a give an go pass from Allieri. For the rest of the first period, Middlesex dominated and kept St. Mark's hemmed in their zone. In the second period, St. Mark's fought back and netted two goals to take the lead. For the rest of the game, the play went back and forth, and Middlesex threw shot after shot on net but could not manage to put the puck in the back of the net. Daisy Boynton put forth a stellar performance in the net and denied St. Mark's many offensive opportunities. Overall, both teams competed hard, and the intensity was high on both sides. Middlesex will next face Cushing on the road on Friday.Â
