The Middlesex Varsity Girls' Hockey team lost a talented Nobles team on Wednesday. The Zebras competed hard every minute of the game but had trouble capitalizing on many great offensive opportunities. At the end of the first period, Middlesex held Nobles to a score of 0-1 and had kept the puck in Nobles' defensive end for much of the period. The second period was a similar story where Middlesex only gave up one goal but kept pummeling the Nobles goalie with shots without being able to sneak one past her. Nobles came out hard in the third period and netted three more goals. Nevertheless, Middlesex held on to the end and never stopped aggressively playing or pressuring the visitors. The team faces off against a tough Governor's team on Saturday.
