Varsity Field Hockey was excited to finally play on their home field on a beautiful Saturday. After a slow start and defensive breakdowns, the St. Mark's Lions were up 2-0 after 15 minutes. However, the Zebra's continued to battle throughout the first half led by junior, Dahlia Galante in the midfield. In the second half, there was a lot of back-and-forth play and both teams created many man-up situations. Middlesex began to find their groove after an unbelievable save by senior goalie, Isabella Costantino, on a St. Mark's stroke. Even with increased energy, the Zebras were unable to find the back of the cage before the final whistle. Middlesex is eager to play ISL opponent, Tabor, on the road next Wednesday.
