The Middlesex Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team renewed their longstanding rivalry with Groton up at Herter Field on an ideal spring Saturday afternoon. The battle of the Zebras started as a seesaw affair with the teams trading goals throughout the first half. Halftime arrived with Middlesex owning a 5-4 lead, the outcome still very much up for grabs. Each team tickled the twine early in the third, and as the stanza was winding down, Middlesex posted two more goals on the board to take an 8-5 lead into the fourth. The Middlesex offense then came to life in the fourth quarter, as they scored the next six goals to put the game out of reach. Highlights were hat tricks from Nick Buonanno '18, Zach Goorno '19, and Cole Nye '20. Eight players in total entered the scorebook, demonstrating another well-rounded team effort. 

The MX Zebras continue grinding through the ISL slate on Wednesday, as Roxbury Latin come to Middlesex for a midweek tilt.
