Middlesex traveled to Rivers on Saturday, April 28th. Both teams entered the game with one ISL loss. Middlesex started the game strong with 3 straight goals, but Rivers countered with 3 of their own, and the score was tied after the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, Rivers separated themselves, capitalizing on some transition goals and man-up opportunities taking a 7-3 lead into the half. The 2nd half was more even, and the game ended with a score of 10-5 in favor of Rivers, who was obviously the better team on this day. A few individual players stood out for Middlesex, including Stew Hickey (attack, 3 goals), Mike Allieri (goalie, 12 saves), and Henry Friedman (FOGO). The Zebras look to bounce back on Wednesday, May 2nd when they travel to face a very skilled St. Sebastian's squad.
