Middlesex battled an athletic and tough Lawrence team on a very cold, rainy Wednesday afternoon. The pace and crispness of the game suffered because of the weather, but both teams displayed grit and toughness nonetheless. Middlesex played solid and organized defense throughout and limited the Lawrence offense to 9 shots on net. The Middlesex offense generated 24 shots on net but was only able to capitalize on 9 of them as the Lawrence goaltender was outstanding all day and several of their close defenders challenged us in 1 v 1 battles. Nick Buonanno and Zack Goorno led the Middlesex offense with steady, unselfish play and the defense was anchored by Buford Reid, Cam Parker, and Owen Henderson.
