The Middlesex Girls' Hockey team faced a tough loss against a strong Southfield team. Middlesex came out strong and scored in the opening shift of the game when they aggressively pressured Southfield in their defensive zone, regained the puck, and slipped an early shot by the Southfield goalie. Kiley Briand '20 scored the goal assisted by Izzy Allieri '21 and Ali Jospeh '20. Southfield managed to get on the board later in the first period during a power play and then continued to build momentum and notched three more goals over the course of the game. The Middlesex team refused to give up and kept attacking Southfield in their offensive zone but they could not manage to sneak the puck past the goalie.
