The Middlesex Girls' Hockey team faced a tough loss against Portsmouth Abbey. Middlesex got on the board first when Kiley Briand knocked the puck into the back of the net during a scramble in front after receiving a pass from Ali Joseph. Portsmouth Abbey then responded with two goals before the end of the period to take the lead. Portsmouth Abbey then put two more goals on the board during the second period. Middlesex answered back in the third period when Nicollette Roark scored during another scramble in front of the Portsmouth Abbey net. Middlesex began building momentum during the period but Portsmouth Abbey was able to score once more before the end of the game. Middlesex will be back in action at home on Saturday against Thayer Academy.
