After coming off back to back games when Middlesex had difficulty putting the puck in the back of the net, the flood gates opened against Newton Country Day as Middlesex unleashed an offensive barrage against them. Towards the end of the first period, Riley Galizio put Middlesex on the board first with a snipe after being fed a pass from Kiley Briand. Ten seconds later Middlesex scored again when Ali Joseph scored on the back door assisted by Izzy Allieri and Olivia McCabe. Early in the second period, Angelina DeVellis put the puck past the goalie on a pass from Itsy Seeman. Less the a minute later Middlesex scored two more back to back goals. On the first, Allieri, having received the puck from Briand, saw the open space on the stick side of the goalie and fired the puck home. Then Briand scored back door with beautiful pass execution from Joseph and Allieri. A shower time later Olivia Clark scored her first career goal after beating the goalie five hole with a pass from Malloy Clifford. Play continued throughout the second period, and goalie Daisy Boynton came up with a tremendous save and rebound save after a fast break up the by Newton Country Day. Middlesex finished out the period with three more goals. The first came from Allieri after more beautiful puck movement from Briand and Joseph. Next, Malloy Clifford scored her first career goalie on an assist from Galizio who then added her own unassisted goal before the period closed out. Middlesex came out hard in the third period and put the puck in the net a final time when Seeman scored a snipe on an assist from Maddie Murphy. Before the end of the game, Newton Country Day was able to sneak one goal, but overall Middlesex dominated the game from start to finish and refused to let up. Middlesex will face off on the road against Portsmouth Abbey next Wednesday.
