Middlesex faced off against ISL opponent St. Mark's this past Wednesday, and both teams were evenly matched. Middlesex started off the game strong and immediately got the puck in St. Mark's zone. Play went back and forth between the two teams throughout the period until St. Mark's scored during the first period to take the lead. For the rest of the game, Middlesex pressured St. Mark's relentlessly and peppered the goalie with shots but could not manage to slip the puck past the goalie. Middlesex played tough defense for the rest of the game and Caroline Silk had a standout game in net, stopping shot after shot from St. Mark's. The game ended with a final score of 0-1. Middlesex will be back in action on Friday night against Cushing Academy.
