We knew we were in for a stiff challenge on Saturday facing Belmont Hill, who had only one loss to date. Our boys came out with energy and enthusiasm.  We had a good battle in the middle of the field.  Faceoffs and ground balls were going to be the critical statistics.  We were doing well in these categories early in the game. Spencer Mehm scored our first goal as he was hit from behind.  Nick Buonanno scored two before the end of the period, one from Lousararian andd one from Garrity-Rokous. Belmont answered with two of their own before the quarter was over.  In the second quarter, we lost the battle in the middle of the field and thus gave up a number of unsettled opportunities to Belmont, which they took advantage of, scoring seven in the second quarter.  We went into the half down, 4 -9.  Middlesex came out in the second half ready to play and gave a good performance but weren't able to improve on the five goal margin.  The Belmont goalie made eighteen saves, which proved to be the difference in this contest.
