We began the game with patient play against Groton's zone and solid goalie.  Spencer Mehm got us on the board 2 minutes into the game off a feed from Garrity-Rokous. Burnham Lewis scored after winning the draw and taking it to the cage. Even still Groton hung in with a couple of nice scores during the first quarter, but Hickey put us ahead 3-2 after the first quarter.  Our offense found its rhythm in the second quarter scoring five unanswered goals and giving us some breathing room.  In the third, the rivals traded goals going into the fourth up 11-4.  Our fourth period was a little disappointing as we gave up four goals to finish the game at 11-8.  Credit Groton for their persistance.
