The Zebras played their best game Wednesday against a very talented Governor's team. The play was back-and-forth for much of the game with both teams earning opportunities. The stalwart Zebras defense turned away several corners, but eventually Govs struck on a textbook corner play. Middlesex ran back to center and continued fighting, earning a corner of their own. Senior Captain Stella Noels scored just inside the circle with a beautiful shot to even the score. In the second half, the even play continued, but Govs was able to execute on two more corners to take a 3-1 lead. The Zebras, however, played with exceptional heart and continued to press and earn opportunities until the final whistle. Although a loss, the team played relentlessly, and as athletes today, under the senior leadership of Noels, Siobhan Morrissey, Sophie MacKeigan, and Caroline Silk.
