In a game full of special teams, the Middlesex Girls' Hockey team battled Kimball Union Academy to a 1-0 loss Saturday morning at the Southfield Holiday Tournament. The first two periods remained scoreless as both teams spent time in the box and exchanged offensive opportunities. MX goalkeeper Caroline Silk '18 posted 45 saves, holding off the KUA attack until six minutes left in the third period when a KUA powerplay finally found the back of the net. MX continued to test the KUA goalie until the end but could not convert. MX plays tournament hosts Southfield tonight at 6:30 p.m.
