Middlesex Girls' Varsity Hockey traveled to Rivers School Friday evening for the opening of the ISL season. After a scoreless first period, Rivers stuck first with a goal by Jenna Letterie. The Zebras rebounded and peppered the hosts with shots by Ali Joseph, Carly Kretyak and Kylie Quinlan but the Rivers goalkeeper stymied the attack. Rivers doubled their lead in the third with a goal by Madeline Segall. Junior Caroline Silk was stellar in net with 54 saves. The Zebras will take a week break before a rematch with Rivers on Friday, December 16 at the Southfield Holiday Tournament.
