The Zebras welcomed the Lawrence Academy Spartans to their home turf for a classic ISL matchup.  Both teams entered today's contest with strong records and the anticipated battle ensued.  Determined and gritty, the defensive unit stymied a few dangerous Spartan rushes to goal and goalie DeSimone fended off Lawrence's one shot with a stick save.  In the offensive end, the Zebras had many solid opportunities but missed narrowedly on a few excellent attempts.  With 18 minutes remaining in the second half, Middlesex clinched the game winner and then fended off the Spartan attempts to secure the shutout.  The Zebras will begin preparation for an ISL night game match-up at Brooks on Saturday, October 8th.
