The Pelicans came down from Concord, N.H. Wednesday to play in raw conditions of snow and sleet just to remind us that Mother Nature is still in charge! St. Paul's got up first but the Zebras answered with two of their own. The second quarter was the same as the first in the scoring column, leaving MX up 4-2 at halftime. After halftime, the two MX faceoff guys figured out their opponent and gave the hosts valuable minutes of possession time. Eventually the shots began to drop behind a talented St. Paul's goaltender. Middlesex scored six goals in the third for a comfortable edge. The Zebra defense again turned in a solid performance keeping some explosive shooters away from the cage. The team heads to Nobles on Saturday to face a very athletic team.
