Middlesex Girls' Varsity Ice Hockey hosted ISL Rivers School Friday evening. The Zebras came out flying in the first period, with Kylie Quinlan, Pauline Santry and Juliette Bendheim all testing the Rivers goaltender early. The visitors found the back of the net in first to take a 1-0 lead after the first period. The Zebras had a tough second period, plagued by penalties and allowed three goals. Down 4-0 heading into the third, Middlesex came out fighting and never gave up but had ultimately dug too big a hole earlier in the game with a final score of 5-0. The Zebras look to rebound on December 18-19 at the Southfield Holiday Tournament.
