The Zebras lost a heartbreaker today against a strong and physical Nobles team.  Middlesex flexed their muscles first, however, by scoring just 3:25 into the game.  The first half went back and forth with both teams earning opportunities and the Zebras just edging Nobles in shots 8-7.  The Bulldogs got on the board with 8:07 remaining to tie up the game 1-1 going into halftime. 

In the second half, Nobles had more shots on goal, but goalkeeper DeSimone made a few crucial saves to maintain the tie.  The game continued into overtime and both teams battled, earning goal scoring opportunities in both circles.  With 3:08 remaining, the Zebras thought they had the game as the ball was hit into the cage in the air.  Although first called a goal, the referees met and took the goal back due to high swinging on the redirection.  Two minutes later, Nobles brought the ball down and found an opening in the circle and Nobles ended the game with 1:51remaining on the clock.  Although the Zebras were disappointed in the loss, it was a terrific game, and both teams played their hearts out with passion and heart.
