The Zebras came out with more strength and confidence in their second contest of the season. The young group valiantly took on the former Class B champions and while St. Mark's claimed more possession initially, Middlesex began creating more shot opportunities as the first half winded down.

Down 0-2 at the half, the Zebras shifted their attacking unit slightly, and senior captain Doherty to slipped a ball to Herring for the first goal of the season. While Middlesex had other chances in the match, St. Mark's notched a third goal to take the 3-1 win. The game was, however, a turning point for the inexperienced Zebras. They played at a new level and are excited to continue implementing the necessary skills to produce goal scoring opportunities and defensive shut downs.
