The Middlesex boys' varsity lacrosse team struggled to get by Groton, 7-4.  Playing against a solid zone defense, the team struggled to find the chinks in the armor. 

Groton scored first and Jack Sullivan answered a few minutes later to tie it at one.  The two teams swapped goals in the second period as well, going into the halftime break knotted at two.  It felt as though Middlesex was in the penalty box most of the second half.  In fact, Groton scored a man up goal only 15 seconds into the third quarter. Sam Muse responded with a goal for the Zebras to tie it up again going into the fourth period at 3-3.

 James Burr spurred the Middlesex offense, figuring in three of Mx's four goals in the last quarter to secure the win and push the Zebras record to 9-0. 

Middlesex  hosts a very strong Roxbury Latin team on Wednesday.
