The boys' lacrosse team hosted Brooks on Wednesday, May 13 for a 3:00pm ISL showdown. Although the Bishops played a tough zone defense, the Zebras were able to adjust and come away with their 12th win of the season.
Middlesex found a few seams in the zone in the first period and got up 2-0. During the second quarter, there was a good battle in the middle of the field and we traded goals with the opposing team to go into halftime, 5-3.
Early in the third quarter, Burr found Howe on the crease for a pretty goal, and then Fong to Pensavalle a few minutes later to go into the last period up 7-3. We were able to outlast them in the fourth period, adding four more goals to reach the final 11-3 score.
Our offense was patient, defense stingy, and the midfield was great in transition. The table is now set as 11-1 Belmont Hill comes to Middlesex
on Saturday; it should be a great game.
