The Middlesex boys' varsity lacrosse team ventured out to Needham, MA yesterday where they faced a tough and athletic St Sebastian's squad.
It was a pretty balanced game, however, Middlesex found themselves down 3-0 a few minutes into the second quarter. At that point, the Zebras did put together some offensive possessions and went into halftime down only 2-3.
Early in the third period, Fong found Burr for the tying goal, and as Middlesex went into the fourth quarter they were able to score two more to go up 5-3. Of course, it was tough right to the end with Seb's scoring with a few minutes left to close the gap to one. Thankfully, the Zebras were able to get a little possession time at the end of the game to close out this one, 5-4.
The team feels very fortunate to have gotten by St. Sebastian's, who has been a tough opponent for the Zebras these last several years.
Groton is next.
