The Zebras once again struggled to get into a rhythm in the first half of their game against Thayer on Saturday, April 19. The Tigers took advantage of the the Middlesex miscues on defense and the poor shot selection and notched several goals to take an 8-2 lead. Kota '14 was able to narrow the gap before time expired, but the Zebras went into a huge five-goal deficit at halftime.
In the second half, the defense stepped up and the attack made better choices, leading to a more even game. The Zebras outscored Thayer 6-5 but the renewed strength and energy was too late and not enough to quiet the Tigers.
On the heels of this disappointing loss, the Zebras are determined to improve and play a better game when they take on Lawrence Academy on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
