The Zebras took on a solid Nobles team on Parents' Weekend. As usual, the game between the two rivals was a battle with both teams making big plays in a ping-pong effort between the 25 yard lines. Nobles took more shots, but the defensive unit shut them down under the leadership of captains Doherty and Olson in the cage. On a Nobles self start just outside the circle, the Zebras had a lapse and the Nobles player took advantage, firing the ball into the net for the only goal of the day. In the second half, the Zebras gained momentum and missed the cage by inches on a quick start by Herring inside the 25 yard line. Despite a terrific effort, the score remained 0-1 in Nobles' favor. The Zebras will look to rebound next week against Rivers on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
