Unlike the past three weekends, when the opponent's ground game had to be stopped, Roxbury Latin brought a high powered pass offense to Middlesex. All started well as both teams scored on their first two possessions of the game. James Burr '15 led the scoring off for MX with a 10-yard touchdown run for a 6-0 lead. RL answered for a 7-6 lead. But before the first quarter was over, MX recaptured the lead, 14-7 on a 31-yard pass from quarterback Austin Dorsey '16 to tight end Jack Lyne '16. Dorsey then completed a pass for the two point conversion to wide receiver John Schuster '15. But Roxbury Latin continued their offensive push, scoring two more touchdowns for a 21-14 halftime lead.

RL continued the offensive pressure by scoring two more touchdowns in the third quarter before MX answered with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The first on a 2-yard pass from Dorsey to Schuster and the final MX score was a 5-yard pass from Dorsey to George Morris '15. Although RL had built a commanding lead, we were proud that the team continued to fight all the way until the final gun. The team will travel to Thayer next Saturday. Â
